Meet Robert Dean

Robert served our country as a Marine, founded Clean the Bay Day, and founded and led several organizations for people with disabilities in our community. He is ready to serve our students, teachers and families on the Virginia Beach School Board and make our schools even better.

Robert Dean has dedicated his life to serving others, from serving our country in the United States Marine Corps to serving our city as a Councilman. He has devoted himself to bettering the lives and opportunities of children in our community, especially children with special needs. He was on the Board of the Sugar Plum Bakery, served as the District Coordinator for the Very Special Arts, the President of Tidewater Center for Technology Access for Persons with Disabilities, the President of the Virginia Beach Sun Wheelers and the Chairman of Virginia Beach Mayor’s Committee for People with Disabilities. Robert Dean also founded Clean the Bay Day, the Elizabeth River Project, the Environmental Green Breakfast of Hampton Roads and the Southeastern Association for Virginia’s Environment.

Robert has personally visited every school in Virginia Beach. He understands an educated and skilled workforce is critical to the economic sustainability of a community and supports making our public schools the best in Virginia. He supports the integral role of our teachers and staff to make a difference for every student, every day, in facilitating high academic expectations. Robert Dean will serve the community of Virginia Beach with integrity when elected to the School Board.

Robert Dean would be honored to have your support for the Rose Hall District Seat on the School Board. All Virginia Beach voters can vote in the upcoming Special Election on November 5.
